Mihai and Silvia Brestyan have coached gymnastics for over 45 years. Their careers include coaching national teams in Romania, Israel and the U.S. Through Brestyan’s American Gymnastics Club, Mihai and Silvia produced countless State and Regional individual and team champions at every level. At the Elite International level, Mihai and Silvia coached Brestyan’s own Alicia Sacramone and Aly Raisman at six World Championships and the Beijing (2008), London (2012), and Rio (2016) Olympics winning a combined 19 individual and team medals for the U.S.

 As it has been throughout their careers, the Brestyans’ mission is to promote the sport of gymnastics. The Invitational created by Mihai and Silvia reflects their own culture of hard work and dedication to the sport and strives to provide every child with the opportunity to better themselves in and outside of the gym.
